When it comes to pricey games, moms balk
I balk too. Especially when you don't know if you'll even like the game. Enter Gamestop. Buy used games and return them within 7 days for any reason whatsoever.
If they stop doing that, well, I'll stop going to there.

I got component cables for my gamecube to put on the projector. It looks SOOOOO much better than the standard composite video.
It's so worth it. If you want one, make sure your gamecube has the "digital A/V out port". I had to buy mine preowned from GameStop.

Mario music
A talent show or somethin. I didn't watch it the whole way through but it seemed entertaining enough to put a post about it.

Latest Line #3: The Truth About Nintendo – Part One
An interesting look on Nintendo, but I don't really like how they lump handhelds into the equation. In any case, they'll have a part two that will talk about profits which is really what it all comes down to.

I'm expecting my gamecube component cable in say... 2 weeks since I had to order it from lik-sang.com since nintendo.com didn't have any and aren't expecting any until end of January 2006.
This "Nintendo GameCube Component Video Hookup" tells you how to use it.
It sucks that I can't just buy it at the store. Damn Nintendo; they better include the component cables for the Nintendo Revolution.

And I'm not the only one who thinks this.
Bottom line, it's HOT HOT HOT. Almost better than groupies.

I picked up Guitar Hero - I.E. How To Be a Nerd and Still Majorly Rock Out, Dude. I'm a so a nerd rocker.
Anyways, I like it so far. I'll get back to talking about it later.
So yesterday at BestBuy when I was waiting from 1am to 5am (to buy a laptop for someone else if you must know), I chatted some with the dudes behind me and then we started playing Mario Kart DS. It was fun. And quite easy to set up a game. There were 3 of us.
Unfortunatly one of the dudes was good and whooped both our asses constantly. CONSTANTLY. And unfortunately it kept raining on and off so we kept stop playing when it was raining.
And Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow is kind of boring. I think I'll go return it now (figuratively speaking).
I think I'm going to compile a list of games and categorize them into:

Nintendo isn't going to support HDTV (720p and above).
However, it's going to support 480p, and that should be good enough for everyone.
Nintendo has confirmed that at this point in time, they are not supporting HDTV output for the Revolution, however, 480p will be standard. This may mean that the system will be unable to output HDTV at all, or it may mean that HDTV support will be at the developer's discretion.
480p is fine. All this hoopla about needing HDTV on Revolution is dumb.
So yeah as much as the 360 looks absolutely beautiful in HD, I'm definately getting the Nintendo Revolution.

Nearly Half of Mario Kart DS Owners Play via Wi-Fi in First Week
I know I did!
Anyways, that's a lot of people.
also, here's an interview with the creator. Unfortunately, engineers get no credit (as usual).

Oh, FYI, this site has good information about the difference between multi-card play and single-card download play.
Essentially:
DS Download Play
# 2-8 player simultaneous wireless game play
# Choice of multiplayer racing, Balloon Battle, or Shine Thief modes
# Players who own Mario Kart DS can choose their own characters and use personalized icons
# Players who do not own Mario Kart DS must play as Shy Guy; they cannot use personalized player icons
# Track selection is limited to eight tracks for racing and three arenas for Balloon Battle and Shine Runner modes
# DS Download Play is limited to the 100 cc engine class
Multi-Card Play (all players own copy of game)
# 2-8 player simultaneous wireless game play
# Choice of multiplayer racing, Balloon Battle or Shine Thief modes
# Players can choose from different engine classes
# No limits on character choice
# No limits on track choice
# Player's win/loss ratio is saved and tracked
# Players who race locally are automatically added to each other's friend roster and then can race via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection
# Players can trade ghost data wirelessly, allowing them to race against each others' best times.
Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection
# 2-4 Players racing simultaneously
# Choice of playing with:
o Friends Only (players registered as Friends)
o Rivals (players with similar skills)
o Recent Opponents
o Regional Racers (players in their country)
o World Racers (players anywhere in the world)
# No limit on course choice, but each player votes for a course and the course with the most votes wins (in case of a tie, the course is chosen randomly)
# No limit on character choice
# Players can create and use personalized player icons

The upcoming Nintendo DS Bundle that will include Mario Kart DS looks pretty nice to me.
When I was buying my silver DS, I was asking around to see if they were going to make a red one anytime soon. I was gonna get a red one, and soon I will be able to.
Will I get a red one? That depends on what I can do with my old one.

So far, the more I play Mario Kart DS the more I like it; however, it is getting more and more repetitious. I think it needs more tracks. It needs HUNDREDS of tracks.
My cousin likes it. She plays and plays and then she complains even though she pipetts all day long sometimes, she feels like this is getting her close to having carpal tunnel haha.
I got Metroid Pinball last night discounted with a coupon I had won from some circuit city promo. I liked it when I played at the store.
I saw/played Xbox 360 at the store yesterday. To be honest, I don't really care about it since it's just got the same kind games but it just runs smoother and with more detail. For now anyways. I'm not totally knocking it down; I'm just waiting to see how it all pans out.

Here are some Pros and Cons of Mario Kart DS Online so I don't need to write them out too.
Unfortunately, the pros are "no duh you have to have these things" and also unfortunately all the cons are "no duh you have to have these things" too.
The three things I feel it requires but doesn't have are as follows:
Shucks

The three things I feel it requires but doesn't have are as follows:
- being able to add friends from people you play with (figure out what his "friend code" is).
- being able to chat with people you play with.
- being able to choose the people you play with without modifying the friends list.
Shucks
This game called Brain Exercise looks pretty interesting.
It's filled with brain teasers and puzzles that require speed and cleverness.

I'm going to have to try the Nintendo WiFi again for Mario Kart DS. I was a bit disappointed when I tried it the first time but I'll have to find some friends and try again.
I'm not happy THERE'S NO BATTLE MODE ONLINE
